CLINICAL PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT TOOL

The clinical placement assessment tool is comprised of a scoring sheet and behavioural cues.

Clinical placement scoring sheet

The clinical placement scoring sheet records the assessors rating of 23 Australian Nursing Standards Assessment Tool (ANSAT) items. ANSAT items are assessed based on student performance of observable behaviours. Behavioural cues have been developed to assist with this process.

Behavioural cues

The behavioural cues are a non-exhaustive set of examples of behaviours organised by domains. The behavioural cues are provided with the clinical placement scoring sheet to illustrate desired behaviours.

Assessor feedback page

Assessors have suggested value in feedback on a formative assessment be structured differently from feedback on a summative assessment. Therefore, there are now two further options (attached) for institutions, namely, different forms for formative and summative assessment. You will notice the scoring sheet and behavioural cues remain unchanged. It is only the feedback page that has been changed.
